Top Halloween Events in Sacramento for Kids 2025

Safe & Super Halloween at Fairytale Town will occur over two weekends from October 11-12 & 17-19, 2025. This beloved Land Park locale will transform into the world of Auradon and the Isle of the Lost. Kids will get to trick-or-treat and participate in interactive activities. 

The 3rd Annual Haggin Oaks Trick-or-Treat will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025. There will be free candy and mini golf for kids. Costumes are encouraged. 

Swim with the Pumpkins: A Family Friendly Spooktacular Event splashes into Folsom on Saturday, October 18, 2025. This free Halloween event  will include a floating pumpkin patch, trunk-or-treat, crafts, games, and more. There will be wet and dry activities. Don’t forget a bathing suit and towel if you plan to go into the pool! 

Trick or treat with princesses and other characters at Once Upon A Halloween on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Enchanted Cosmos in Natomas. There will be 8 characters (and possibly more), a costume parade, and playtime at Enchanted Natomas. Princesses will also sing. A child’s ticket includes one adult entry. 

The Annual Hallo-Palooza & Trunk or Treat in Elk Grove will take place on Friday, October 24, 2025. This free event will have trunk-or-treating with vehicles from the Elk Grove Police Department, carnival games, a bubble zone, and more. 

Celebrate Día de los Muertos with a free Low Rider trunk-or-treat on Friday, October 24, 2025 at the Marketplace at Birdcage in Citrus Heights. There will be lots of candy, face painting, folklórico dancers, and more. While this is a free event, pre-registration is requested. 

Trunk or Treat at Keema’s Pumpkin Farm in Elk Grove will take place on Friday, October 24, 2025. This free two-hour event is open to all kids and no registration is needed. 

Go wild for trick-or-treating at the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary. Wild Howl-O-Ween at Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary takes place on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

The annual free trunk-or-treat with Folsom Police and Fire will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025. Dress in your Halloween costume and bring a treat bag while exploring service vehicles.

A trunk-or-treat will take place at the California Automobile Museum on Saturday, October 25, 2025. Kids will get to trick-or-treat inside the museum while checking out classic cars. There will be a haunted house for older children. Kids 5 and under are free. 

Fly over to the Aerospace Museum of California for Pumpkins & Planes on Saturday, October 25, 2025. This Halloween event will have trick-or-treat stations, Halloween-themed crafts, a spooky walk-through of the Jolly Green Giant helicopter, games, and more. 

The free Trunk-or-Treat & Autumn Festival will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at North Natomas Regional Park. There will be a trunk-or-treat, a free pumpkin patch, costume contest, bounce houses, games, face painting, and more. 

Kids can safely trick-or-treat in the miniature city of Safetyville on Saturday, October 25, 2025. Trick-or-treat stations will be set up throughout the mini city. While Safetyville USA is typically known for biking, there will be no bikes or scooters allowed at this event. 

Safe Trick-or-Treat street will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at River City High School in West Sacramento. There will be free candy, games, and activity stations. This is an outdoor event at River City High School Stadium. 

The annual Midtown Halloween Festival & Pooch Parade returns on Saturday, October 25, 2025. While dogs in a costume parade are the main event, there will be lots of family fun for kids such as arts & crafts, photo ops, live entertainment, and more. 

Trick Art Treat takes place at the Crocker Art Museum on Saturday, October 25, 2025. This Halloween-themed event will have an artsy twist for kids of all ages. Enjoy trick-or-treating for art supplies, hands-on art activities, slime, interactive performances by the Sacramento Ballet Second Company, a brass band second line, and more. 

Halloween at Hagan takes place on Saturday, October 25, 2025. A free trunk-or-treat will take place at this Rancho Cordova community event. There will also be carnival games, an obstacle course, a zombie run, and more. 

The annual Zombie Bike Parade takes place on Sunday, October 26, 2025 in Davis, starting at Community Park. This is a family-friendly event that includes a bike ride and free festival! Participate in Boo Clues on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at the Sacramento Zoo where you’ll go on a spooky scavenger hunt throughout the zoo. Note that this is not a trick-or-treating event. There will be free carousel rides, free mini donuts, and check out animal enrichment with pumpkins. 

The free Monster Mash Midway takes place on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Village Park in Fair Oaks. There will be trick-or-treating, games, and Halloween-themed entertainment. 

The Citrus Heights PD Trunk-or-Treat takes place on Thursday, October 30, 2025. This free community event will have tons of candy, costumes, and food trucks as kids trick-or-treat from decorated Citrus Heights Police Department vehicles.
