Best October Events in Sacramento for Kids 2026

Folsom will be bursting with fun at the Fall Foam Party on Saturday, October 4, 2025. This free, family-friendly event will have foam cannons, face painting, balloon twisting, and a a candy lane in the Folsom Central & Folsom Faire Shopping Centers. 

The UC Davis California Raptor Center will have its free annual Fall Open House on Saturday, October 11, 2025. This family-friendly event will have hands-on educational experiences while getting to see some of the raptors up close, on the gloves of ambassadors. 

As part of the Family Series at the B Street Theatre, Never Fear, Shakespeare! will premiere on the stage from October 12-26, 2025. The family-friendly theater show runs for 1 hour and 15 minutes with an intermission. Show is for ages 5+. 

Step into the Wizarding World in Sacramento. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban™ in Concert will take place on October 17 & 18, 2025. The Sacramento Philharmonic & Opera will play the movie score live while the film is shown. 

Join the Food Allergy Institute for a Food Allergy-Safe Fun Morning on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Rebounderz in Sacramento. Kids with food allergies can play and jump in a safe environment. A cleaning of the space will take place before the event. Allergy-friendly snacks will be served, and trained medical professionals will be on-site. 

The annual Electricity Fair takes place on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at the Folsom Powerhouse. Kids will learn about hydropower, and the impact of electricity in our lives, at this free family-friendly event. There will be interactive science activities, solar art, and tours of the Folsom Powerhouse. 

The 3rd Annual Haggin Oaks Trick-or-Treat will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025. There will be free candy and mini golf for kids. Costumes are encouraged. 

Get ready to light the beam! The Annual Sacramento Kings Fan Fest is on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at the Golden 1 Center. Tickets to this event are free (but they go fast!). Kings players will take the basketball court for a practice, there will be family-friendly activities, giveaways, and more.

The UC Davis Student Farm will have a pay-what-you-want Marigold U-Pick on October 30 & 31, 2025 from 12-2pm. This experience is part of their Student Farm Flower Project. Harvesting scissors will be provided. 

Disney On Ice glides into Sacramento October 30 – November 2, 2025 at the Golden 1 Center. The show will center around the beloved Disney movies of Frozen and Encanto. 

Boo Bash & Trunk Treat takes place on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at Fair Oaks Park. Kick off October with a fun trick-or-treating event for families. Tickets are $2 each and space is limited. Food trucks will also be at the event.

Don’t forget blankets and chairs for the movie. 

Safe & Super Halloween at Fairytale Town will occur October 16-18 & 23-24, 2026. Kids will get to trick-or-treat and participate in interactive activities from 5pm to 9pm. Kids 2 and under are free.
