From Dads to Juneteenth, there’s a lot to celebrate this weekend! Let Dad channel his inner Maverick at Top Dad Father’s Day at the Aerospace Museum, or he can ride kiddie roller coasters at Father’s Day at Funderland, where dads get in for free. Plus, if he loves sweet treats, there will be all-you-can-eat ice cream at Fairytale Town’s Ice Cream Fantasy.
There’s a big Juneteenth Block Party at 40 Acres in Oak Park, as well as the Placer County Juneteenth Celebration in Rocklin. If you want to combine Father’s Day and Juneteenth, there’s even an event for that, as Color The Block will host a Juneteenth/Dadteenth Celebration.
If you missed Sacramento Pride last weekend, Elk Grove Pride is this weekend. The El Dorado County Fair is in town, and the annual Lavender Blue Festival Days at Bluestone Meadows in Apple Hill kicks off.

The El Dorado County Fair takes place for four days from June 18-21, 2026 in Placerville. Expect rides, exhibits, music, livestock shows, and family fun at this summer fair in El Dorado County,
Meet and pet baby goats that help manage vegetation in Roseville parks at a free Goat Meet & Greet Pop Up on Friday, June 19, 2026 at Mahany Park (next to the playground). This is a family-friendly event and a goat-themed storytime will occur at 10am.
The B Street Theatre, Celebration Arts, BTU Arts and Capital Stage will join forces on Friday, June 19, 2026 for a Juneteenth Art Walk. All are welcome to join this free community event. The walk begin at Celebration Arts and be led by BTU Arts’ Second Line-Style Brass Band through midtown Sacramento.
Families can head to Village Green Park in Rancho Cordova for free Friday Moonlight Movies during every Friday in June 2026. Two different movies will be shown each Friday night (first one at 5:30pm, second one at 7pm). This year’s theme is Red, White, & Movie Night.
Family Movie Night returns to Folsom for three nights in summer 2026. For two weekends in June from June 20-21 and June 27-28, 2026, Lavender Blue Harvest Days will take place at Bluestone Meadow Farm and other Apple Hill farms.
The Annual Placer County Juneteenth Celebration will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Johnson-Springview Park in Rocklin. This free family-friendly event will include live music, vendors, food, a sweet potato pie contest, and the chance to view the Opal Lee Perseverance Quilt Project.
