The BLVD! in West Sacramento: A Family Guide

The BLVD! in West Sacramento: A Family Guide

The BLVD is the ultimate indoor entertainment center in the Sacramento Area. The one-stop West Sacramento complex has attractions for kids of all ages, including laser tag, arcade games, and bowling.

This 37,000-square-foot venue is hip and modern, with new, high-tech games. The space is massive and inviting with lots of light (apart from laser tag, because you know, that should be dark). It won’t feel like you took your kids bowling in a dive bar.  Families can enjoy year-round entertainment on hot and rainy days in Sacramento under one roof.

Parents and adults will enjoy this outing as much as kids will. Attractions aside, it’s a kid-friendly restaurant in the Sacramento area where families can eat a meal while watching a Sacramento Kings game on one of the many screens.

The BLVD! just opened in West Sacramento in August 2025, and mark my words, it will quickly become one of the best things to do in Sacramento with kids. Check out what to expect at The BLVD! in my Instagram Reel.

Kid-Friendly Attractions at The BLVD!

Laser Tag

Unleash your competitive side in the laser tag arena.

Whether you’re playing with friends or family, competition can commence in the laser tag arena. Laser tag would also be ideal for a kids’ birthday party.

Before stepping into the laser tag arena, you’ll first enter a prep room to gear up and try some target practice. The laser tag arena is pretty spacious. It includes ramps, walls with windows, and many good spots for hiding. A few power-up stations are in the arena. There are custom murals on the walls that feature iconic Sacramento landmarks, which glow in the blacklight arena.

Arcade & VR Games

There’s every kind of arcade game you could imagine at The BLVD!

The arcade & VR area at The BLVD! is massive, and the variety of games is just as impressive. These are brand-new, state-of-the-art arcade games that will occupy kids (and adults). There is a motorcycle game, a Monopoly game, an Icee game, skee-ball, and various sports games. You name it, and they’ve got that arcade game.

There are over 65 arcade games for families to enjoy. All of the arcade games are ticket redemption games.

Prize Redemption Room

What prize will you choose from the Redemption Room?

It will be challenging to get kids to leave the Redemption Room, so save this for last! It’s chock full of everything a kid would ever want, from candy to trucks, sports balls, and a myriad of little toys.

Tickets don’t need to be redeemed on your first visit. You can save your tickets and continue racking them up to redeem a larger prize on a future visit.

Bowling

One of the main attractions at the BLVD! is the bowling lanes. What takes bowling to the next level here is what’s called Spark bowling. Animations and graphics appear on the bowling lane, providing an immersive technological bowling experience. However, note that Spark is an extra add-on cost.

You’ll have just as good a time bowling, whether you choose to add on Spark or not. There are large televisions that line all the lanes. The bowling balls look like billiard balls, which is another fun element.

Strike up some bowling fun.

An awesome perk about bowling with kids here is that you can have bumpers appear just on specific turns. For example, if your kids need bumpers, they will appear for them, and then retract for those in your group who don’t want to use bumpers. Bowling ramps are also available for younger kids to use.

Bowling lanes can be reserved in advance, which is recommended, especially on popular Sacramento game nights and on weekends, when crowds are likely to be busiest.

Family-Friendly Dining

All those family activities might work up an appetite. The BLVD! features a gastropub-style restaurant with shareable bites, including nachos, sliders, fried pickles, and more. If you’re planning to have lunch or dinner and crave something more substantial for a full meal, entree options such as burgers, pizza, salads, and sandwiches are available.

There’s a kids’ menu for children 12 years and younger. It includes a choice of French fries or fresh fruit, and a meal consisting of typical kid favorites such as mac & cheese, chicken tenders, and more options. The kids’ meal also includes milk or a soft beverage.

Take a break from all the family fun with a kid-friendly meal.

Additionally, The BLVD! is known for dirty sodas. These are non-alcoholic creamy sodas. For more context, the Creamsicle Cruiser includes orange soda, vanilla, and half-and-half. These dirty sodas tend to be a hit with kids and can be provided in a souvenir mason jar.

The many family-friendly activities combined with the kids’ menu and spacious seating area make The Blvd! one of the best kid-friendly restaurants in the Sacramento area.
