Just in time for Earth Day, the American River Parkway Foundation will have a spring clean-up on Saturday, April 18, 2026. All ages are welcome to volunteer from 9am to 12pm at 7 locations along the American River in Sacramento. Advance registration for the specific location is required.
Join UCP and the American River Parkway Foundation for a family bike ride adventure on Saturday, November 15, 2025. Activities will include a bike ride along the American River Parkway and family-friendly nature crafts such as creating a colorful suncatcher and designing a botanical ornament with air-dry clay. Bring your bikes or reserve one from UCP while supplies last.
The Great American River Clean-Up (GARCU) takes place on Saturday, September 20, 2025. There will be over 20 American River Parkway locations for clean-up spots. Note that some clean-up spots do have age restrictions, but most are all ages welcoming kids and Boy Scout or Girl Scout troops to participate.
