Folsom Pedal Quest invites 500 bike riders of all ages to participate in a free self-guided "quest" through the connected bike paths of Folsom on Saturday, May 2, 2026. All ages and abilities are welcome to attend the event. Kids ages 3-6 can participate in the Balance Bike Bash where t hey can pedal on balance bikes through Historic Folsom.
Celebrate Folsom's 80th Birthday Celebration at a free community party on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Folsom City Lions Park. There will be entertainment, carnival games, and lots of family fun. The 1st 500 youth guests will also get free entry to the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary.
As part of Folsom's 80th Celebration on Saturday, May 9, 2026, snail races will take place from 10am to 2pm. Participants will receive a commemorative snail race t-shirt at this family-friendly tradition. Youth may participate. Contests will also include best snail home presentation, best named, and best dressed snail handler.
Izzy's Animal Rescue Festival will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Black Miner's Bar State Park on Lake Natoma. The annual Historic Folsom Hometown Parade & Cattle Drive will march through Historic Folsom on Wednesday evening, July 1, 2026. This free, family-friendly tradition will march down four blocks of Sutter Street with floats, vehicles, horses, Wild West re-enactors, marching bands, color guards, and more.
The Folsom Pro Rodeo takes place for three days from July 2-4, 2026. In addition to a thrilling rodeo tradition of bull riding, there is also plenty of family fun, and each night concludes with a fireworks finale. There will be live music, activities for kids of all ages, and food for purchase.

Family Movie Night returns to Folsom for three nights in summer 2026. Families will get to watch outdoor movies for free at unique family-friendly locations in Folsom, including the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary, Andy Morin Sports Complex, and Steve Miklos Aquatic Center. Each movie night will have free activities themed to the location from 6:30pm to 8pm. Movies begin at 8:30pm.
