Winter at The Square at Folsom History will take place over two weekends in 2025 on December 12-13 & 19-20. There will be elf-led gold planning, a holiday postcard scavenger hunt, hot chocolate, make your own holiday gifts, and a winter wonderland with lights and decorations. Kids and adults ages 13+ can forge candy canes for $15. Tickets available at the door.

Santa's Christmas Cottage is open in 2025 on Friday and Saturday evenings in December from 6-9pm.
Climb aboard the Placerville & Sacramento Valley Railroad (PSVRR) for Santa's Whistlestop Adventure from Oak Station to Willow Springs the first three weekends in December 2025. A rail motorcar trip will take passengers to meet Santa. There will also be additional activities for kids and refreshments.

As part of Folsom's 80th Celebration on Saturday, May 9, 2026, snail races will take place from 10am to 2pm. Participants will receive a commemorative snail race t-shirt at this family-friendly tradition. Youth may participate. Contests will also include best snail home presentation, best named, and best dressed snail handler.
Izzy's Animal Rescue Festival will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Black Miner's Bar State Park on Lake Natoma. The festival will include animal presenters, animal exhibitors, animals available for adoption, live music, and food vendors. While the festival is free, there is a $10 vehicle entry free to get into the park.
The new Folsom Bike Park will celebrate its Grand Re-Opening in Cummings Family Park on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Bike riders of all ages can check out the brand-new features at the park at this free community celebration. The ribbon cutting ceremony will be at 11am.
