UC Davis Biodiversity Museum Day

The 14th annual UC Davis Biodiversity Museum Day is Saturday, February 8, 2025, where nine museums/collections will open their doors for free to the public. This event aims to inspire young kids to pursue careers in science.

This event is free and family-friendly. Free parking is also available at all the institutions.

The following nine UC Davis museums/collections are participating in Biodiversity Museum Day:

UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden, Habitat Gardens in the Environmental GATEway

  • Adjacent to the Arboretum Teaching Nursery on Garrod Drive
  • 12pm to 4pm

Bohart Museum of Entomology

  • Room 1124 and main hall of the Academic Surge Building, 455 Crocker
  • 9am to 1pm

Botanical Conservatory

  • The greenhouses along Kleiber Hall Drive
  • 10am to 2pm

California Raptor Center

  • 1340 Equine Lane, off Old Davis Road
  • 9am to 3pm

Nematode Collection (part of the UC Davis Department of Entomology and Nematology)

  • Katherine Esau Science Hall, off Kleiber Hall Drive
  • 10am to 2pm

Museum of Wildlife and Fish Biology

  • Room 1394, Academic Surge Building, 455 Crocker Lane
  • 10am to 2pm

Paleontology Collection, Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences

Phaff Yeast Culture Collection, Robert Mondavi Institute Brewery and Food Processing facility
