What to Expect

When arriving, you’ll see two photo scenes set up. At the time of booking, you can choose a snowy street scene or a Christmas cabin scene. Both are beautiful photo settings.

A 30-minute photo session with a professional photographer will then take place. Various photos and arrangements will occur. For example, you can get family photos, just ones of the kids, or individual photos. They’ll also do variations of the backgrounds, like in the winter scene, sitting on a bench, and sitting right on the (fake) snow. Each photo session will be unique to the family booking.

After the photo session, you’ll sit down with the photographer to take a look at all the photos that were taken to determine which one you love the most to choose as your 8×10 print to take home that day. If you love tons of the photos (and you will), you can purchase a larger package. The starting package price begins at $60. Some packages include digital pictures, and some include prints. There are also à la carte add-on options.

Same-Day 8×10 Print

After you choose the photo for your 8×10 print, the photographer will professionally edit that photo. The process will take approximately 15 minutes. While you wait, there is plenty to do in Arden Fair, from holiday shopping to taking kids on the carousel or grabbing something to eat.

You’ll receive a text when your print is ready for pick-up. Once you see your print, you’ll want to buy a frame so it can hang on the wall that same day. Trust me, I know this from experience.

Taking Photos with Kids

I have young kids (ages 1 and 3), so it’s always a mixed bag when it comes to photos. I can never get them to both look into the camera at the same time when I try to take pictures of them together. I have to tell you—the photos we took at Valuable Exposure were hands down, the best photos of my kids I’ve ever gotten.

My kids have huge smiles in every picture, are looking straight at the camera, hugging each other, and even followed his directions. We were awed at the incredible shots he took of our kids.

The interactive photo scenes make it fun for kids, and they will be very comfortable during the photo session. There are toys and stuffed animals for them to hold and play with during the photo session, a rocking horse to sit on, and fake snow to toss around. He did a great job of playing peek-a-boo while taking stunning shots.

You don’t have to choose one or the other, as photos with Santa are a completely different experience from this professional holiday photo session. For one, some kids are scared of Santa. Last year, my oldest child refused to get a picture with Santa as he got nervous at the last minute.
