Toddler-Friendly South Lichtenberger Park

There are three playhouses, each with different themes that connect via elevated tunnels for kids to climb through. The three playhouses include:

  • A fire station
  • A play house
  • A market and cafe

Toddlers will revel in the extra interactive elements inside and outside the playhouses. For example, the fire station has a fire truck with a turnable wheel. Slides are connected to a few of the structures, too.

My toddler’s favorite part about the playhouses is the interactive table outside the market and cafe. Different plates of food are attached to the table and slide into different spots across it.

Another thing to love about South Lichtenberger Park is that there are restrooms! There is no parking lot, but you can park on the street for free.

While there are several shaded picnic tables in the park, there is one kid-sized picnic table perfect for little ones who aren’t quite big enough to sit at a regular-sized picnic table.

South Lichtenberger Park Sports Courts

The first time I visited South Lichtenberger Park, I was surprised to see a sand volleyball court. I haven’t seen many sand volleyball courts in Elk Grove, so this is another unique amenity to utilize.

Additionally, there is a half basketball court and a built-in area for bocce, cornhole, and horseshoes.
