Rock out at Rhythm On The River in West Sacramento! This free family-friendly summer concert series takes place at Drakes: The Barn on the last Thursday of the month from May through August. Each month is a different genre of music. There will be a Family Fun Zone with free children's activities.

Summer Family Friday at The Crocker Art Museum is a monthly program for kids of all ages from June to August 2026 on the first Friday of the month. Each month will have a different theme and include hands-on art, live performances, and creative fun. Summer Family Friday is included with regular museum admission.
With a carnival, circus, and fireworks, Rancho Cordova will have the ultimate two-day family-friendly 4th of July celebration on July 3 & 4, 2026. The carnival will take place each day from 4-11pm and feature various amusement rides for kids of all ages. There will be a Ferris wheel, kiddie rides, and midway games. Note that carnival tickets are a separate cost.
The Food Literacy Center will have monthly First Fridays in Oak Park from June to August at 3428 3rd Avenue. There will be a free kids farmers market, free popcorn, and family-friendly activities from 5pm to 8pm while supplies last.
