The free Sacramento Book Festival will take place on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Scottish Rite Center from 10am to 5pm. The festival will have a kids zone and children's book readings. The kids zone will open at 10am. Bring a children's coloring or activity book to donate to the Mustard Seed School children's book drive.
A Princess & Me Royal Tea will take place on select Sundays in April 2026 at the Sotherton Tea Room in Lincoln. There will be treats, tea, and a meet-and-greet with this month's princess (Elsa). Reservations must be made by phone at (530)-305-4152.

The theme changes each month. Nature Explorers takes place from 10am to 2pm behind the restroom near The Okapi Trail, and is included with regular zoo admission.
