The Annual Elk Grove Giant Pumpkin Festival returns the first weekend in October on October 4 & 5, 2025. This fall festival is a yearly staple at Elk Grove Regional Park. A highlight is the Pumpkin Regatta where pumpkin growers race in canoes made out of giant pumpkins they grew. The pumpkins are then dropped from a crane and make a big splash into the lake. It's a fun and exciting way to celebrate fall.
Chug along the tracks of the Sacramento Valley Live Steamers for the Pumpkin Patch Express in Rancho Cordova on October 4-5, 2025. The price includes unlimited train rides, bounce houses, and more fun activities for kids. Pumpkins will be available for purchase for $5. Kids 2 and under are free.
