Tutu School Elk Grove will have a Nutcracker Day Camp on Monday, December 22, 2025 for little super plums. Dancers will get to participate in Nutcracker-themed crafts, a festive ballet lesson, play games, enjoy storytime, and more. Dancers should bring their own lunch to the day camp.
Wild Nights and Holiday Lights returns to the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary in December 2025. The zoo is transformed into a holiday wonderland with tons of twinkling lights. The Folsom Valley Railway miniature train also provides nighttime rides through holiday lights.
The Sacramento Zoo will have a $10 Community Day on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.
The Little Gym in Elk Grove will have a Read Move & Groove on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. Kids can will get to enjoy a reading of The Snowy Day. There will also be a craft, snack, and open gym time. This event is open to non-members and is geared toward children ages 4 months to 5 years old.
Families can go tubing for free for several days and nights in December 2025 on the Winter Tube Hill at Bayside Church in El Dorado Hills. This is a free event on a tube hill (no snow) for all to enjoy.
Glide over to Skatetown Ice Arena for a Christmas Eve Pajama Skate Party on Wednesday, December 24, 2025. There will be laser and disco light shows, snow falling from the ceiling, games, a live DJ, beginner skater lessons, and more. Children 4 and under receive free admission, including skates, with a paid adult.
The annual Davis Food Co-Op Christmas Eve Holiday Meal will take place on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 from 3-5pm. This is free for anyone to attend at the Davis Veterans Memorial Center.
It's a Christmas miracle! Country Club Lanes will have unlimited free bowling on Christmas Day from 9am to 4pm. Shoe rentals do need to be purchased which are $6.75 per person. Laser tag will also be available for $5 per person per game.

A Princess & Me Royal Tea will take place on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at the Sotherton Tea Room in Lincoln. There will be treats, tea, and a meet-and-greet with this month's princess.
The Sacramento Kings will have a Sesame Street-themed Kids and Family Day game on Saturday, December 27, 2025. This is a 2pm day game against the Dallas Mavericks with a Sesame Street theme. There will be a Cookie Monster scavenger hunt through the arena. Kids can collect stamps to redeem for a cookie and dental kit. The first 7,000 fans in attendance will receive a complimentary Elmo bucket hat. Additional activities include face painting and balloon art.
