Celebrate Earth Day at Sutter’s Fort

Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park and the State Indian Museum will have an Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 10am to 4pm. The day will include family-friendly DIY environmental activities.

Learn about the environmental impacts of Sutter’s Fort in the 1840s while participating in the following Earth Day activities:

• Guided tours of native plants in the park
• DIY bird feeders (that include using California native plant seeds)
• Create new bird boxes for the park
• Corn husk flower making with natural ingredients and natural dyes

Normal hands-on demonstration stations at Sutter’s Fort will also take place at the event.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for youth. Children ages 5 and under receive free admission.
