California’s 175th Birthday Block Party

Celebrate the 175th birthday of California’s Statehood at a free family-friendly block party on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. The block party will take place at the California State Capitol in Sacramento. There will be activities for kids, food trucks, music, and a birthday cake.  A laser display will occur 30 minutes after sunset.
