California Mermaid Convention

The California Mermaid Convention swims into Rancho Cordova with children’s activities taking place on Saturday and Sunday, May 16 & 17, 2026, each day from 10am to 4pm. This is a family-friendly event that includes specific children’s programming such as kids swimming with mermaids, and participating in land-based games and treasure hunts.

Children’s activities are included with a Main Entry (Children’s & Parent) ticket which includes admission for one child and one adult. Additional adults have to purchase a Landlubber (spectator) ticket in order to attend.

Children’s programming at the California Mermaid Convention in 2026 will include:

• Children’s swim with a mermaid entertainer each hour in a zero-depth entry pool
• Children’s swim classes
• Treasure hunts and games in the Atlantis Play Area
