DESCRIPTION:The annual UC Davis Picnic Day takes place on Saturday\, April 18\, 2026. This free\, family-friendly event is a beloved tradition that features parades\, hands-on exhibits\, animal encounters\, and a Children’s Discovery Fair across the UC Davis campus. \nThere are tons of activities for kids at the UC Davis Picnic Day! One of the highlights is the Children’s Discovery Fair which takes place on the Hoagland Lawn. \nThe Picnic Day Parade begins at 10:15am. Parade details\, including the route\, can be viewed here. \nAdditionally\, there are tons of family-friendly exhibits for kids of all ages like slime making\, a laser maze\, and a Chemistry show. Various animal encounters will be taking place throughout the campus\, like a petting zoo and a frisbee dog contest. \nThe best way to view all the many hands-on exhibits and activities is on the UC Davis Picnic Day website.
