SUMMARY:Great Backyard Bird Count for Kids
DESCRIPTION:The Sacramento Audubon Society will host the Great Backyard Bird Count for kids ages 7+ on Saturday\, February 15\, 2025\, at the Folsom Powerhouse SHP. \nRegistration is required for the event. Register here. \nThe day will begin with a binocular boot camp and a discussion about the importance of counting birds. Registrants will be split into small groups to explore along the trail\, and count birds. Each group will include an experienced bird leader. When lunch concludes\, each group will present their bird findings. \nBe sure to bring: \n\nWarm clothing layers\nBinoculars\nBagged lunch\n\nAn adult must accompany a child while during the entirety of the event.
