DESCRIPTION:Climb aboard the Placerville & Sacramento Valley Railroad (PSVRR) for a Mother’s Day Brunch train ride from Oak Station to Willow Springs in Folsom on Sunday\, May 11\, 2025. \nA 10-minute train ride will take Mom to tables set up near Willow Creek where brunch will be served. Food will include eggs\, bacon\, potatoes\, muffins\, and drinks. Mom will also receive one mimosa\, included in the price of the ticket. Take photos\, enjoy the creek\, and then take the 10-minute train ride back. \nVolunteers will be pumping a historic railcar down the track while Mom and the family relax on the rails. \nThe rail trip will take a total of approximately 90 minutes. Each motorcar departs the station every 30 minutes. Families are welcome to stay as long as they like when reaching Willow Springs. \nChildren ages 4 and under ride free and do not need a ticket. Tickets will go on a sale one week before the event takes place. \nThe PSVRR boarding location is next to Family Fitness at 700 Oak Pkwy in Folsom. Parking is in the Family Fitness parking lot (on the side facing the tracks).

SUMMARY:Folsom Pedal Quest
DESCRIPTION:Folsom Pedal Quest invites 500 bike riders of all ages to participate in a free self-guided “quest” through the connected bike paths of Folsom on Saturday\, May 3\, 2025. \nThe routes start and finish in Historic Folsom and range in distance from 1.5 to 30 miles. All ages and abilities are welcome to attend the event. While the event is free\, advance registration is required and the capacity for the event is limited to 500 people. \nKids ages 3-6 can participate in the Balance Bike Bash where t hey can pedal on balance bikes through Historic Folsom on a course with a pool noodle wall\, bubble wrap “rock garden”\, and mini rumble strips. \nEach Balance Bike Bash race takes place every 30 minutes from 9:30am-12pm\, and is limited to 25 kids per race. Races will occur on the 700 block of Sutter Street (between Riley and Wool Streets). Kids can see how many laps they complete in 15 minutes\, and are welcome to use the course as much as they like in between races.
