DESCRIPTION:The Annual Elk Grove Giant Pumpkin Festival returns the first weekend in October on October 4 & 5\, 2025. This fall festival is a yearly staple at Elk Grove Regional Park. A highlight is the Pumpkin Regatta where pumpkin growers race in canoes made out of giant pumpkins they grew. The pumpkins are then dropped from a crane and make a big splash into the lake. It’s a fun and exciting way to celebrate fall. \nThere are also many amusement rides for families\, and interactive activities at vendor booths. The pumpkin village also has many decorated pumpkin houses and decor for fall photo ops. Lots of food is available for purchase on-site. \nWhile this is a free event\, parking for the event costs $20.
