DESCRIPTION:Climb aboard the Placerville & Sacramento Valley Railroad (PSVRR) for a 4th of July Weekend BBQ Express train ride from Oak Station to Willow Springs in Folsom on July 5-6\, 2025. Folsom Handcar Derby volunteers will pump your family down the track on an 1800s-style handcar ride! \nA short and scenic train ride will take passengers to Willow Creek where a BBQ will be served. \nRail Motorcar Trip from Oak Station to Willow Springs for BBQ (typically 60-90 minutes total time) \nThe rail trip will take a total of approximately 60-90 minutes. Each motorcar departs the station every 30 minutes starting at 11am. Families are welcome to stay as long as they like when reaching Willow Springs. \nChildren ages 3 and under are free. Select “Lap Child” at the checkout. All tickets must be purchased in advance online. Tickets will not be sold in-person at the station nor the event. \nThe PSVRR boarding location is next to Family Fitness at 700 Oak Pkwy in Folsom. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate 4th of July in Elk Grove at the Salute to the Red\, White and Blue at Elk Grove Regional Park. A drone show and fireworks show will take place at 9:30pm. There will be food trucks\, a bike parade\, and a concert before the fireworks. \nThis is a free event. Parking is $10. \nA free shuttle will also make stops throughout Elk Grove starting at 4:30pm. Check the route schedule and map for specific pick-up spots. \nAnyone can participate in the bike parade – bring anything with wheels and decorate it for a parade inside the park. \nSchedule of events:  \n\n7am – Gates open for early parking\n5pm – Event begins\n6pm – Let Freedom Ride Bike Parade\n7pm – Opening Ceremonies\n7:30pm – Rock With. You\, A Michael Jackson Concert Experience\n9:30pm – Drone Show and Fireworks Spectacular\n\nThe drone show is new this year to celebrate Elk Grove’s 25th birthday. 200 drones will illuminate the sky in a synchronized performance with animations.
