Nature Explorers at Sacramento Zoo

Nature Explorers is a monthly, open play, drop-in program at the Sacramento Zoo that includes sensory play, interactive activities, nature observation, and more on the first Saturday of every month, all year. The theme changes each month. Nature Explorers takes place from 10am to 2pm behind the restroom near The Okapi Trail, and is included with regular zoo admission.

- January 10 – Rain
- February 7 – Clouds (occurs on the first Saturday in February)
- March 14 – Plants
- April 11 – Earth
- May 9 – Sounds (performances by Grow Resilient Families will take place at 11am and 1pm)
- June 13 – Bugs
- July 11 – Sun
- August 8 – Reptiles
- September 12 – Mud
- October 10 – Birds
- November 14 – Leaves
- December 12 – Mammals
